At the hardware–software intersection.
I'm currently a Software Developer Co-op at Magnet Forensics, and a Computer Systems Engineering student at Carleton University (B.Eng., Co-op) focused on embedded & real-time systems and high-level software. Before Magnet, I built a script recording feature for a Java Swing test-automation library at the Canada Revenue Agency, and completed two co-op terms at Epocal, Siemens Healthineers, building firmware in C++ and tooling in C# for the epoc® Blood Analysis System.
My work lives at the intersection of hardware and software: from QNX RTOS applications on Raspberry Pi to YOLOv8 computer-vision pipelines, from microcontroller programming to cross-platform code-generation tools. I focus on writing deterministic, reliable code and systems that work when it matters.

Software Developer Co-op
Sep 2026 — PresentMagnet Forensics
Current- Developing C# parsers on .NET 8/10 in the API layer consumed by Magnet software products.
- Recovering structured digital evidence from mobile application data stored as SQLite, JSON, XML, Plist, and raw binary.
- Writing xUnit test coverage with Moq and FluentAssertions, shipping through Azure DevOps PR builds, and Jenkins pipelines in two-week sprints.
Software Developer (Testing Platform Support)
Jun 2026 — Aug 2026Canada Revenue Agency
- Designed and implemented a script recording capability, as the sole feature developer, for an in-house Java Swing test-automation library, allowing testers to turn a single manual run into a replayable script without writing code.
- Architected a JSON recording schema that resolves input events to component positions in the Swing containment hierarchy, forming identities that stay stable across runs.
- Engineered EDT-safe replay pacing that sequences events without blocking Swing's single-threaded UI thread.
Embedded Software Developer Co-op
Sep 2025 — Apr 2026Epocal, Siemens Healthineers
- Developed protocol-level C++11 firmware for the epoc® Blood Analysis System on a dual-core STM32H745 (Cortex-M7/M4), implementing I²C peripheral interfaces and inter-core IPC messaging.
- Built a C#/.NET code generator producing 100+ protocol classes per platform (C++/C#/Java) from Word and Excel specifications.
- Implemented Bluetooth BLE pairing fixes and structured protocol fault handling across 4+ fault subtypes, delivering ~15–20 firmware features and fixes spanning IPC messaging and Java/C# host platforms.
- Reduced flash utilisation from 96% to ~80% by offloading ~70 unit tests to the IAR Embedded Workbench simulator, after evaluating ~10 ARM simulation utilities for peripheral fidelity.
Technical Analyst
Jan 2025 — May 2025Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
EN / FR- Delivered bilingual (English/French) technical support to 30,000+ employees and external partners across Canada via internal IT support platform.
- Granted RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance.
IT Plan Intern
Mar 2024 — May 2024Midterm Rental Properties
- Audited property listings against the company IT database for completeness and accuracy.
- Tracked website analytics and performed SEO optimisation to improve search ranking and client experience.
- Authored technical summaries documenting progress and promotional blog posts.
Senior Peer Mentor — First Year Connections
Aug 2026 — Oct 2026Carleton University
One of 9 Senior Peer Mentors in Carleton's First Year Connections program. Supported a team of 9 Peer Mentors in the Engineering stream while mentoring first-year students directly through weekly one-on-one meetings, serving as the escalation path between the mentor team and the program coordinator. Promoted the FYC program via Orientation Day tabling, coordinated weekly team outreach, led a 1-hour synchronous session on mentorship best practices, and provided guidance on mentorship challenges.

Things I've built.
Personal, hackathon, work, and academic builds across embedded, systems, tooling, and AI.
ParallaX — Project Brain for AI Tool Handoff
Solo build for OpenAI Build Week 2026. A TypeScript/Node 24 developer tool that turns AI chat exports into an evidence-backed, git-versioned project brain any coding assistant can read. Ships a CLI, a loopback web UI, a read-only MCP server, and a static explorer over one shared services layer. Model output stays an untrusted proposal until its quote is verified exact, contiguous, and unique against the source transcript. Backed by 165 Vitest tests and an offline GitHub Actions gate.
Wi-Fi Spectrum Analyzer
Multi-threaded real-time application on QNX Neutrino RTOS targeting Raspberry Pi 4. Producer-consumer architecture with POSIX pthreads, priority inheritance mutexes, and deterministic scheduling (SCHED_FIFO/SCHED_RR). Integrates wpa_supplicant for spectrum-aware Wi-Fi channel analysis.
epoc Protocol Code Generator
Built at Siemens Healthineers. A C#/.NET code generator that parses Word and Excel protocol specifications into 100+ strongly-typed protocol classes per platform across C++, C#, and Java. An extensible OOP architecture (abstract base classes, generic typed classes) feeds a NuGet and javac/.jar pipeline with versioned JFrog Artifactory artifacts, keeping protocol definitions in sync across 3 cross-team codebases.
VoxAssist — Voice-First RAG Assistant
Two-person build for cuHacking 2026. A voice-first retrieval-augmented assistant over Obsidian markdown notes that can also answer from a teammate's notes, limited to what they chose to share and enforced server-side. Built the frontend, ingestion, and heading-aware chunking; hybrid vector and lexical search is fused with Reciprocal Rank Fusion in the application layer. Deployed live on DigitalOcean.
Credits
RoadSense — AI Road Damage Detection
2nd Place — MSA Hack-The-Future
Backend lead on a 4-person MSA Hackathon team. Built a YOLOv8 inference engine with HuggingFace integration and OpenCV preprocessing that detects 4 road damage types from dashcam video in 16-frame batches with weighted severity scoring, feeding a 6-step modular Python pipeline that stores geolocated detections in Supabase (PostgreSQL, JSONB bounding boxes).
Credits
OS Process Scheduling Simulator
Process scheduling simulator in C implementing Round Robin, FCFS, and non-preemptive Extended Priority scheduling over process control blocks and node-based queues. Reads workloads from custom config files and emits process execution and memory logs; a Python/Matplotlib layer charts throughput, turnaround/wait times, memory usage, and syscall overhead. Includes adjacent multi-process work with fork/exec, POSIX semaphores, and shared memory on Linux.
Real-Time Systems Lab — MSP432
Bare-metal embedded C on the TI-MSP432P401R, advancing from register-level I/O and polling to interrupt-driven systems using timer and pin interrupts. Final exercises introduced multithreading and mutex synchronisation under QNX Neutrino RTOS. Debugged hardware-software timing in Keil µVision.
ARM Processor Design
Built a basic ARM processor in Logisim from building-block components (latches/flip-flops, ALU, ROM, memory), incrementally adding functionality and instructions per lab. Wrote ARM assembly and used a custom compiler to convert it into processor instructions, interpreting binary and hexadecimal encodings.
